Reaping the Savings!

I did OK at Walgreens today. I purchased about $75 worth of stuff and paid about $25. Isn't that great? Well, here's my dilemma... I'm able to get some really good deals on stuff that I'm already stocked up on... but it's really hard for me to not go ahead and buy it. Walgreens has Skippy peanut butter on sale 2/$3 right now. And, I have coupons for $.55 off a jar, which brings the price to $1.05 each. That's really good. But, look at my stash.
I have about 40 jars of peanut butter!! Granted, we go through 1 jar about every 2 weeks. Still, we certainly don't need to worry about peanut butter for a while. So, you all are my witness... I will not buy any more peanut butter until we are down to our last 10 jars! It's time to reap all the savings... (but oh, it's hard to pass up a deal!)
Same thing for spaghetti sauce.
I don't know.... I only have 15 jars of spaghetti sauce. We eat quite a bit of spaghetti, so maybe I'll keep working on that stash.

Wow! LOL I thought I was addicted to the good deals. I'm glad you like msm! She is sweet, and super smart! I'd say slow down a bit on the peanut butter, but keep up the spaghetti sauce. One jar of sauce=1 meal. (or maybe you use 2 jars?) One jar of pb=many sandwiches. We go through a lot of spaghetti sauce, too! Way to go Trish!

All I can say is WOW.

You know, peanut butter tastes great in a chocolate chip cookie recipe!

by the way, try putting mayo and Parmesan and Italian seasoning on chicken breasts and bake until done. VERY good. I still haven't told my hubby what the "sauce" is because he loves the dish, but hates mayo. ;-)

Too bad I don't live in Siloam anymore. If I needed some peanut butter or spaghetti sauce, I would know just where to go! :-)

Trish,
I thought I had stocked up on peanut butter and spaghetti sauce, etc. myself but I think you have me beat! Hayden and I were looking at your blog (I found your link off of Bekah's blog) and we were remembering how much Zane loved having crunchy pb at our house and how he lamented that you never bought crunchy for him. Hayden says we even bought him a jar of crunchy for his very own! I have tried emailing you but I think I must have your old email address. I hope you all are doing well. We have a new little one in our house- Isaiah Allen was born on Nov 7th. He's doing great. Tell your family hello from us all.
